Eti.CA. Service began in the early 1980s with the development of management systems software for the first personal computers, which had just appeared on the market. This software was developed to meet the needs of small and medium-sized companies wishing to modernize and increase their competitiveness by leveraging the benefits from better rationalization in the use of their staff.

In the early 1980’s Eti.CA. Service first came into contact with several major companies that had requirements for labeling, marking and automatic identification services. It was through our ability to meet these companies needs that Eti.CA. Service began to specialize in this field. Our experience has matured significantly over the years thanks, in part, to our long-standing success in satisfying the labeling requirements of some of the most well-known fashion houses in Italy and abroad.
Through years of constant contact and working side-by-side with printer manufacturers and companies producing printing supplies, Eti.CA. Service has also gained the expertise needed to evaluate these products and offer personalized turnkey packages to meet all your labeling requirements.
Dynamic Labels: real-time translation
Eti.CA. Service’s Dynamic Label software, by interacting with the most commonly used management software, can directly create the label layout and perform real-time translation in all Western languages, including Greek and Cyrillic, and many of the principle Oriental and Middle Eastern languages including Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, Korean and Japanese.

In addition, by interfacing directly with management software, transcription errors are avoided, and by printing only the labels needed, waste is reduced..
In simplest cases, this information is exported to files in ASCII format or Excel format so that any management program can process them.
Label_Hawk:
a fast, easy way to print labels
With the Label_Hawk system labels can be designed and then printed with any type of printer—from thermal to ink transfer, to laser or inkjet.
Whether for a single-user, multi-user, or a networked office or factory, Label_Hawk is the complete solution for managing and printing labels.
Because Label_Hawk uses native Microsoft printer drivers it works efficiently with any Windows 95/98/NT/XP printer, a feature that also simplifies printer management.
An intuitive design
Label_Hawk has a WSISWG graphics layout feature that makes label design simple and intuitive. Graphic elements such as squares, text, drawings, barcodes, lines and circles are just as easy to create.
Links to external databases are easy to set-up, or modify.
In addition, with the Label_Hawk system, the format of printed labels is always perfect.
Database support
Label_Hawk has utilities for creating, editing or indexing databases.
The information to be included when creating a label can be simply and intuitively retrieved directly from a database.
Add logos and symbols
Logos and symbols can be easily imported into the label design in their native size or resized as needed.
Label_Hawk is compatible with PCX, JPG, GIF, TIF or BMP file formats.
Text handling
With Label_Hawk, multi-line text formatting options are on par with those of a sophisticated word-processing program: word-wrap, auto-centering, right or left alignment and many other features.
Text can also be imported into Label_Hawk from many popular word-processing programs (such as MS Word) or can be edited directly within Label_Hawk.
Bar code printing
Practically all bar codes formats used in industry and data acquisition are supported by Label_Hawk: UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 39, Code-93, EAN-8, EAN-13, Codabar, Interleaved 2 of 5, UPC Shipping and Code 128 (A, B, C,).
Barcodes can be printed in any size and rotated in four directions.
Sequential number generator
With Label_Hawk, any numbers that appear on labels, in either, barcode or text format, can be increased or decreased.
Security system
Label_Hawk can be enabled with a password-protected security system to restrict access to authorized personnel for creating, editing, and printing labels.
Different versions for different needs
Label_Hawk is available in two versions:
• run time, which can be used only for printing (ideal for situations that have multiple printing stations).
• base, which is able to interface with a database.
Dynamic Label
The experience acquired by Eti.CA. Service in the textile sector has led to the development of specific solutions for our customers. The Dynamic Label package is a simple, efficient, versatile system that is perfect answer to even the most sophisticated labeling requirements.
Dynamic label creation:
Dynamic Label optimizes the layout of labels “on the fly”. Once key parameters, such as tape width, properties and the printing priorities of the various fields are defined, the software adjusts the composition and dimensions of the graphical elements of the label to adapt them to the chosen parameters, thus avoiding waste of printing materials.
Integration:
Dynamic Label, which runs in the Windows operating system environment, can be easily integrated into other Windows applications. A recent, significant example is the integration of Dynamic Label with STEALTH in AS400, a major application used in the fashion industry. This combination of software allows for the computing of fabric composition into the final product and access to tables containing standardized international fiber codes and washing symbols, thus providing accurate and up-to-date data for the labels being printed.
Libraries:
Through the use of simple flags, Dynamic Label makes it easy to access libraries of different information contained in a database, thus making it possible to immediately translate:
• washing instructions
• fibers
• part of the body
• type of material
into all European languages, including Greek and Cyrillic, and the main Middle Eastern and Oriental languages: Arabic, Hebrew, Korean, Chinese and Japanese.

Traceability and Anti-Counterfeiting
Mission
Eti.Ca.’s goal was to create a means of satisfying a need for tracing and certifying the authenticity of any product by companies and end-users, to establish a team of experts to help these same companies and end-users reap the benefits of Eti.Ca. QR, as well as, assist in every step of the process.
Project
The management of unique QR-codes is accomplished through an advanced, but easy-to-use, software that permits real-time access to useful information—i.e. following the various processing steps, or the product’s status in the warehouse—for any type of product (food, clothing, accessories, toys, automotive spare parts, etc.). Real-time audits are possible not only for government agencies that need to speed up their control processes, but also for manufacturers and end users.
Purposes
Eti.Ca. QR creates labels, each with their own “DNA”, which provides each product with its own exclusive, smart identity card. This unique label can then be integrated into the product by many different methods; woven into, or printed on, fabrics, printed on holograms or directly embedded in the packaging. Whichever the technique, the use of unalterable, long-lasting printing methods, achieves the final goal of offering the full benefits of a complete tracing and anti-counterfeiting system.
Patent applications have been filed for the unique QR-Code software, fabric weaving and printing process, hologram printing and RFID integration.
